We regrettably will be parting ways with long time friend, singer, bass player, and audio engineer William. Without getting into the boring details, he decided it was time for him to move in a different direction from the band's trajectory, and there is nothing close to hard feelings on either side. He'll be playing a couple final shows around Houston until we can find a replacement.

Accordingly, we now find ourselves in need of a new full-time singer. Some of the seemingly obvious requirements:

-able to tour for an indefinite period of time
-live in or near Houston, willing to relocate, or able to be in Houston at least once a week
-must have some example of your singing we can judge from
-preferably 20 years or older
-experience a plus
-must be "bree-free", and vocal stylings must be appropriate in terms of our already recorded material

big update:

Finally, an update for everybody who was holding their breath..

We just got home from tour with THE FUNERAL PYRE and subsequent tour with CERBERUS a couple weeks ago and could not be more stoked about the experience, the people we met, the places we saw, and the fun we had. You can bet we'll be back on the road this winter.

In the mean time we are putting the finishing touches on the writing process for our upcoming Willowtip debut full-length and preparing to head into the studio very soon to record this beast.

On a sadder note, we regret to inform that our drummer, Taylor, will not be with the band much longer as he will be moving to pursue school full-time in the upcoming semester. He will be recording our upcoming full-length, as we all felt it was appropriate. Considering the time and effort he has put into the band, not to mention talent, there is no-one else we would consider recording this CD with.

Although we are all extremely bummed to see him go, we must press on and find a new battle-ready dude to take over drum duty, so beginning in the next few weeks we'll be trying out some drummers to find the perfect match. Anyone seriously interested, shoot us an e-mail at drummer@asedenburns.com and we'll get back to you as soon as we can. (we can't stress serious enough... serious)

Also, don't forget to mark your calendars for FALLCORE 2007 at the Meridian OCTOBER 20, 2007. It's gonna be a doozy!

We just posted a demo recording of a new song that will be on the upcoming Willowtip release. The song is titled Killing Fields, so go check that out.

Well it's kind of funny that during this summer tour we're leaving houston only to come through houston on tour four days later, but we didn't really get to do a kick off show cause we're playing this show on the 8th. Which by no means is a disappointment.
Anyways, on July 16th we're coming back through houston to play Java Jazz with The Funeral Pyre and here's the flier for the show.. thought it was pretty dope.

well we've got a bunch of new shirts made. Our friends Mark & Matt drew up some awesome new things for us. Mark drew up the skull design, as well as the angel used on the white shirt. While matt drew up the new logo we're using which is pretty kick ass.

We did a video a while back with our good friend Chris Laughter, spent about 20 hours out in the middle of no where doing shooting this. Watch it, and give props to Chris Laughter, and everyone who helped. For doing this as a huge favor to us, because you know they didn't get paid for it.
Chris Laughter also does some other kick ass videos for bands, he's getting his website made right now so when it's done, ill post the link.

Well after releasing our EP in mid June 06, a list of shows, and a line up change. We've signed to Willowtip Records. We're really humbled by this whole thing, being as Willowtip houses several bands we respect and admire. Below is the official release from Willowtip Records:

" AS EDEN BURNS has officially signed with Willowtip. Formed in February 2006 in Houston, TX, AS EDEN BURNS play a blend of thrashy, melodic death metal at it's very finest. Sometimes technical, at other times straight-forward and raw, AS EDEN BURNS seem poised to become one of the biggest and best bands in the genre while still being a relatively young group.

The band plans on entering the studio in late Spring / early Summer to record their currently untitled debut full length. They plan on touring extensively starting in the Summer of 2007.
